Situated in Tsinghua Science Park in Beijing, PowerInfo was founded in 1997. With the strongest team in streaming field, the company concentrates on the research and development of stream media technology and has become a most important streaming software developer in China's PC-VOD and IPTV fields. At present, it is making efforts to enter 3G streaming market.

Since 2001, the company has committed itself to streaming industry. Its flagship product PowerInfo Streaming System was the first streaming product applicable to telecom network with independent intellectual property. Furthermore, it is the only one capable of providing services simultaneously for a variety of terminals such as PC, IPTV and Mobile in China. Judging from its concurrency performance and distributed efficiency, PowerInfo Streaming System is the world leading product.

PowerInfo Streaming System now possesses telecom clients from more than 30 cities and provinces as well as a large number of clients from government, enterprises and educational institutions.

From January to November in 2005, PowerInfo signed contracts with the IPTV system of Guangdong Telecom, Yunnan Telecom, Shanxi Telecom as well as Jiangsu Telecom and carried out the pilot work in several provincial telecom companies. Between August and December in 2005, PowerInfo successfully completed the streaming test of 3G trial network and established good cooperative relationship with major 3G equipment providers from both home and abroad.

May 1999	An agreement with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications on the Cooperation and Research of Long-distance Education Courseware was signed.
